Paul Pogba is good friends with Antoine Giezmann and has now said he wouldn’t mind seeing the striker at rival club, Manchester City.
In what will come as a surprise to many Manchester United fans, Paul Pogba has said he would have no problems with United target Antoine Griezmann joined Manchester City – as long as he was happy.
Griezmann was heavily linked with a move for Griezmann this summer, and it was believed the France striker will end up at Old Trafford before the end of the transfer window, but the deal was held up after Atletico Madrid failed to get their transfer ban upturned, meaning they couldn’t sell if they couldn’t replace.
And Pogba, who is close friends with Griezmann, says he wouldn’t be worried if the Atletico Madrid man turned up at Manchester City instead.
Pogba told Telefoot : “Griezmann? I wish for his happiness. If that is at Atletico, at City, I will handle it. He is one of the best players in the world.
“If Zlatan is happy elsewhere, then I am happy for him.”
The transfer embargo on Atletico means Jose Mourinho has made Alvaro Morata his No.1 pick for his new striker with Griezmann staying put in the Spanish capital, reports the Manchester Evening News.
