Diamond Bank shuts Apapa branch. The Management of Diamond Bank Plc has closed its Creek Road, Apapa, Lagos branch, following a mob attack on the branch on Wednesday.

In an announcement, Head, Corporate Communications, Chioma Afe, affirmed that there was a fire occurrence because of the mob activity.
Afe expressed that the bank was set on fire by an irate mob after a policeman professedly shot dead a trailer driver outside the bank premises.
“We had a fire incident at our branch office on Creek Road, Apapa which extremely harmed branch equipments because of mob activity. While the circumstance is under control, we are working with the Nigeria Police Force and other law implementation offices to examine activities prompting the fire incident.
